Celebrating national apprenticeship week
This week (6-12 February 2023), various schools, colleges, employers and students come together to celebrate apprenticeships in support of the Government’s national apprenticeship week initiative.
In conjunction with Eastleigh College, we recruited our first apprentice in September 2021. Ashleigh Earle joined us to begin her accountancy career and has now successfully completed AAT Level 2 whilst gaining on the job experience with us. We are delighted that Ashleigh is continuing her studies and is now working for us as a bookkeeper.
Following the success of our first apprentice in 2021, Olivia Hounsell joined us in September 2022. Also studying AAT Level 2 at Eastleigh College one day per week, Olivia is gaining on the job experience with us in a variety of bookkeeping tasks.
There are huge benefits of providing apprenticeship opportunities, they are an excellent way of gaining in-depth, relevant training whilst earning. From an employer’s perspective they are a great way to grow and develop a motivated, skilled and qualified team.
Sean Daniel, Managing Director said “Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to start a career in accountancy. We are committed to providing this opportunity for our apprentices to develop their skills and to begin their career.”
