A challenging 2021

The challenges of 2021
It has been another unpredictable year where the rollout of the Covid vaccine saw life getting back to a new normal. We started 2021 in lockdown, but many restrictions were lifted in the summer due to the success of the vaccine campaign.
The threat of the new Omicron variant in late 2021 brought fresh worries for businesses especially those in the hospitality and leisure sector. With the Government resisting introducing stricter measures, let’s hope businesses can adapt and continue into 2022.
The Clear Vision Financial Management team were able to quickly adapt when lockdown was first announced and work from home. We have continued to work from home where needed as all systems can be accessed easily and securely from anywhere, ensuring we continue to provide a continual service to clients.
Our ten-year anniversary was celebrated in October 2021, the business has grown significantly since its launch by Sean Daniel with just a handful of clients. The business and team have grown, and we provide a fully outsourced financial department to a variety of clients.
A no-deal Brexit contributed to the challenges of running a business across the EU. With rising costs, staff shortages and supply chain issues all causing further issues.
There has also been a number of legislative changes from post Brexit trading changes, the VAT reverse scheme to IR35 and Making Tax Digital and much more.
Climate change will be a focus for many businesses in 2022, many businesses will be looking at their impact on the environment. This is an opportunity we can all get involved in, we have been looking at how Clear Vision Financial Management can become more environmentally sustainable. During 2020 and 2021 we developed a paperless office which is not easy for an accountancy firm with various receipts, invoices and other paperwork.
Sean Daniel, Managing Director said “2021 turned out to be just as challenging as 2020, as we continued to deal with Covid restrictions and a variety of legislative changes. We have continued to collaborate closely with our clients as we were able to deliver our services remotely through our digital platforms.”
