There is hope with the vaccine rollout that this will be the last lockdown we see. With businesses being told to close and work from home once again, what support has been announced to help everyone get through this difficult period?

The Chancellor, Rishi Sunak announced a package of new grants to provide much needed support to businesses in the retail, hospitality, and leisure sector. The grants will be worth up to £9,000 per property. The grants will be in addition to business rates relief and the furlough scheme which has been extended until the end of April 2021.

The one-off grants to closed businesses are as follows, £4,000 for premises with a rateable value of £15,000 and under, £6,000 for those worth between £15,000 and £51,000 and £9,000 for properties valued at over £51,000.
